Which is better?

An AGP video card or a PCI Express video card?

I have no clue, I'm not worried about name brands and top-end/low-end. My computer and my wallet aren't willing to handle top-line games.

I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161200 until I get the desire to upgrade to something more powerful.

Basically, I'm looking for a card to play Fable, without lag.

So which is better in your opinion? PCI Express or AGP?

It is solely depends on what slot you have got with your motherboard.
you don't to buy a pci-e card where your motherboard can only use agp

PCI-E is a newer technology and has a higher bandwidth. However as Daisy said, you need your motherboard to support it. Only a select few have AGP and PCI-E.
