I will be using it for gaming, mainly sims 3 and flight simulator x. My current 8 year old pc can do both. So which is better?

Thanks

The first one. But change the processor to a 2500K and with the money saved get a 560ti. Plus what power supply is that?

I would say the i7 system would be better aswell,Not only that they over clock like mad if you have decent cooling.

Where are you looking at those systems though,I would not trust that PSU they are using and the case from the description sounds like really cheap one that will probably not have very good airflow.

Have you considered building your own system?

Its at CCL i just used it to get an estimate of how much it would cost me. These are only components so i would have to build it and hope the case fits right.

Well i would defiantly change that PSU,I've never heard of it, will most likely be crap.

Look into getting something from Antec,Corsair,OCZ etc.

Also the ram,Look to get 1600Mhz,Should not be all that much more than 1333Mhz ram.

What StrangleHold said is good though,Why not change the processor to a 2500K and with the money saved get a 560ti or maybe a HD6870. :)

If you gave us a max budget we could do a build list for you,I tend to use Ebuyer or Overclockers for their better after sales support. :)

This :good:

And I would also change the memory to 1600MHz, it won't cost you a lot to do so.

The motherboard specs only show support for 1066 and 1333. I dont have much money, im just looking into how much cheaper it is to build it myself than buy it complete.

Definitely the i7. I'd go with a 600W PSU, if your going to be doing some overclocking, and since you got the 2600k, I'd assume so, plus if you intend to so some SLI in the future, you already have what you need.

+1 for the first system but dropping down to the 2500k and getting a 560TI + quality powersupply.

The i7 will perform much better in Flight Sim and is the processor of choice for that game as it is much more CPU limited than GPU.

thanks, im sticking with the 2600k because i can get that for £25 cheaper than 2500. Ill change psu's and maybe a better graphics card.
