which is better...

Ya no question the 6200. The X300 is ATI's low budget card for PCI-E, while the 6200 is a fine mid range card.

But you have to think that if you ever plan on upgradeing getting the 6200 for AGP is going to hold you back because you mobo will have AGP and not PCIE. Just somthing to think about. ;)

Actually I already have the x300 SE (came on the computer), and my friend has a 6200. I was just wondering which is better. I am planning on upgrading it though, it would obviously have to be PCI-Express. Any Ideas? I dont want it to be bleeding edge, more like a good mid-high range car in the cheaper price scale. I could care less if it's an ATI or an Nvidia.

I'm a big fan (obviously) of the nVidia 6600GT. You can get them for less than $150 now, and my card has shown to run new games very well. I can run Doom 3 at high settings, 1024x768, and still get a respectable framerate. Also, I can run the F.E.A.R. demo on higher settings than my friend, who has an X800 Pro.
