ya depends, sometimes DSL will be better and sometimes Cabe will. it all depends on the company and wats available.

dsl if it is available, you live in a place where there cable internet is used widely which causes occasional slowdowns, and can be cheaper.

cable if dsl is not offered in your area, and its faster than dsl if you really want to compare with no downtime.

I have cable, and my connection is always good.. But i have heard mixed reviews about DSL, my cousin's is terrible (they are switching to cable this week) and others tell me its better than cable... i dont know what to think

Cable is way better than Most DSL services. Most DSL is 1.5mbps while Cable services often reach 4mbps or higher. I have Cable and my speed is 4.5mbps. I have never expirienced downtime or lag while playing multiplayer games.

That depends where you live, here we have DSL lines upto 10Mbps..... Cable, well, easily reaches over 15Mbps down-speed

I have a 2.5Mbps DSL line

Ok, my friends DSL line is 1.5mbps, we have lan parties over there sometimes and the internet is really lacking if 2 or 3 people are downloading a game or patch or something.

well from what I understand, dsl is a direct connection to your ISP's something or other, but with cable you and your neighbors with cable share the connection, so if everybody was on cable and the cable company never upgraded it, it would get slower and dsl would retain its speed, but I can't get dsl at home and the cable's not too shabby and faster near where I live anyways

Depends where you live. Here in Australia, cable is much faster, unless you are in an inner metro area with ADSL2 (and even then, it only comes close when near the exchange).
