I've actually heard of Asus, so of the two I'd get the Asus one, if you want to go 775, it would be easier to upgrade if you want to do so, but if it's significantly more expensive, it might not be worth it

I wouldn't go with slot 478 processor. Go with the new 775. And stay away from Celerons.

But i would rather pay a little more for a better processor than have to deal with the headache of a celeron.

I have that same 478 and celeron and its no head ache, actually its quite fast! I overclocked it to 3.2 and my friend has a 3.2 p4 with HT and I am just as fast as him in all benchmark test we ran, so if your on a budget you wont be disappointed.

i to ave a celeron based comp as a spare and its pretty good, never had any probs. does struggle with the latest games tho.
