Which is the best DVD

i need a dvd writer which is the best in the market. The Dvd should be compitalbe with all dvds (Sony,imation,samsung etc) Good in Erasing Old & New Dvds & Dual Layer Dvd. What is dual layer dvds ?

Dont know if you can say that this one or that one is the (best). But I have used nothing but LG drives lately and had real good luck with them.

yeah i agree with stranglehold, you can't really point out the best, at home i have a philips writer (dule layer,) and so far i've seen 0 problems

Samsung has done me well.

I have always liked liteon's. They are cheap and very dependable. But they are not considered the best burners. But in my book they are. I never burn coasters and every disk I burn works in my home dvd player.
