which is the primary output for dual output radeon video card?
i had my primary crt monitor plugged into the output closest to the pci connector, and the secondary crt monitor on the farthest output, closest to the crossfire connectors.
i then replaced the secondary monitor with an lcd and when i turned the computer on, the lcd was the primary display, and the crt was the secondary display.
then i switched the connections, but it stayed the same, in windows (7) it still says the crt is #2 display but i had to set it as primary display manually.
so which is supposed to the the primary output?

If you look on the panel, the plugs are numbered.

You can change which the OS dedicates as the "Primary" display within your graphics drivers. This just sets the default location of new windows, task bar, etc. The OS may be linking the actual detected monitor to the primary/secondary display settings, not the physical port on the card.
