Well I have a budget around $800-$900 and I'm thinking about purchasing a laptop that will be used for moderate gaming, and I'm looking to be able to play most games with atleast low-medium graphics with a decent fps, and general Internet browsing.

I've found a few options.

1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152319

2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834158372

3) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...23923X827770X64d0d917e8b5ac1fa895f62db620accc
Even though this is sold-out everywhere.

If there is a better option please tell me.

Thanks a lot guys!

The issue with the Y570 is that it has a 15.6" 1366x768 display. 15.6" 1366x768 displays make things onscreen large compared to higher resolution displays, and tend to have very poor image quality due to low contrast. I recommend to avoid this type of display if you have a budget that allows you to get a laptop that has a better display and still suits your needs, and if you don't require larger text for eyesight-related reasons.

Consider this HP DV6-6C53NR. It isn't sold out at this link like it is on Newegg. It has a faster GPU and a better display than the Y570. It has a Core i5 instead of a Core i7, but game performance tends not to depend very much on the CPU. You shouldn't take a Core i7, a 1366x768 display, and a slower GPU instead of a Core i5, a 1920x1080 display, and a faster GPU, unless you have a particular need for a fast processor. Make sure that you go into the BIOS and change the switchable graphics settings from DYNAMIC to FIXED.

The Y570 may be a good option in more specific cases where one has requires a particularly fast CPU and requires larger text for eyesight-related reasons, but it is not a good general-case quick-pick.

The resolution shouldn't be a problem if you are only looking to play on low-med quality. I have the Lenovo Y570 and the gpu handles all the games I have tried on med. Battlefield 3, Skyrim, and hopefully Max Payne 3 in a few days :) . From what I hear, high resolution with a bad gpu ends up looking not so good.

Once more with this theory... Games should not be a reason to choose a 15.6" 1366x768 display instead of a 15.6" 1920x1080 display. It is a common but unfortunate misconception. Despite the blur that results from running in a non-native resolution, the inherently better contrast and overall image quality of the 1920x1080 displays tends to outweigh that and typically results in games looking better running on the 1920x1080 displays in 1366x768 non-native resolution than they'd look running on 1366x768 displays in native resolution.
