In a nutshell i will be using my laptop to watch movies, listen to music, planning on playing high graphics/quality previous, current and future games, run appz like photoshop, frontpage, burn dvds and cds at high fast/speed without leeching all of my system ram and cpu usage, want to connect my laptop to my tv to watch movies (with good quality/speed) from my notebook.I know that i have already posted something similar before. This time around its a bit different because i have done alot of research and narrowed my choices down. I am hoping to get honest opinions as to which laptop will suite my needs. Please check out the following laptops and tell me if you were to choose which one would you buy and why?

The HP DV5130 AMD Turion 64 ML-37 looked the best amongst the models you listed. The unit came with the largest hard drive, 1gb expandable to 2gb of memory, and the 2.0ghz model cpu.

I agree but arn't dual core precessors more powerful then amd turion 64 ?

For multitasking you would see a better machine with the dual core cpu. Some of the models here only list the Turion with no mention of what cpus they will support. With the AMD64 3800+ X2 upto 4800+ X2 models you would have to look over the specifications on each model at the manufacturers' sites to find if any of the above support dual core. The vendors links here are too vague on determining that since they only point to the processor being sold with the unit.

Personally I think think the Inspiron 6400 unless you're willing to spend the extra $300 to give the 9400 a nVidia graphics card.
True the HP has got more hard drive space but it runs at 4600 rpm
True the processor is better but the way things are going Dual Core is the way to go.
Personally I'm using the 6400 as you can see in my sig and I havent had any problems with it.

The point is in regards to what each unit is being sold with the way it is seen at thlinks here not with ordering a customed model where you select the items you want. The speed difference of hard drives is due to being a laptop not a desktop with either a 5200 or 7200rpm drive speed seen on the eide drive types there. The 120gb HD and faster cpu would be selected here for the added drive capacity along with more power for processing.

Just remember that most laptops come just as described by the vendor. If you want more memory, a larger hard drive, or even a better video card you will spend a bit more cost wise.
