Which Modem?

Recently I formated my laptop without remember its Modem. Now I want to install a modem that can online. The problem is what type of modem. Is there any way to find out? Or need to try every type of modem until it detect? By the way, I don't know where to download all type of modem, please give me a link. Thank You For Your Help.

You should have a recovery/installation/driver disc that includes all drivers for your laptop, try that if you have one, or possibly a recovery partition on your HD. Does the modem appear in device manager? It could be that windows came with all necessary drivers and that you only need to set up your internet connection. Of course you could give us the model of the laptop and we can find the drivers for you.

I don't have recovery/installation/driver disc, and the modem does not appear in device manager. I don't know which model is my laptop, teach me how to findout my laptop model?
