Which Modem???

Hi All! - Just registered!

At home I use a PC and I have a Centrino / wireless enabled laptop for work etc. I'd like to have a broadband account set up at home which I could use on both computers without any plug / connection changing etc. As far as I'm aware, I have to get a Wireless modem.

Can i get one that'll plug directly into my PC, that'll also enable me to wirelessly connect on my laptop???

With any broadband service, you need your basic modem. I've yet to see a "wireless" modem, but there's probably one out there. Anyway, you need the modem and a wireless ROUTER. Connect the modem to the router, connect the router to the desktop, and then wireless to the lappy

Yeah your going to need a wireless router, and a reciever. (The_other_one, how do you get images in your signature? Is that moderators only?)

Thanks for your replies! - My laptop is Wireless enabled (firewire / centrino etc...) do I definitely still need a receiver?
