Well the Vishera (FX 6300) is a newer model and is a little faster clock for clock then the Zambezi (FX 8120). But you are giving up two cores. For what you sound like your going to be doing the 6300 sounds like it would be fine. If you want to go for a 8 core, at this time I would spend the little extra for the FX 8320. But the 6300 would be fine. Plus they are all unlocked and overclock pretty well if you ever get a good after market cooler.
