Which new motherboard to go with 7800GT?

I've currently got a abit AV8 third eye mobo and 3200 64 cpu, Im going to get a PNY 7800Gt video card and am wondering ehst would be a good motherboard to get, aint too clued up on the current ones, some thing for under £100 would be good.
 
i dont work with the £ currency , but any good brand such as Asus , Gigabytes , MSI and Abit that got Nforce 4 sould be just fine
 
i say go with an ASUS a8n-sli premium or something form that ASUS lineup, they arent too expensive and support SLI
but idk euros either sorry abotu that, the premium goes for almost 160 $ US
 
yea then something from the a8n-sli lineup from asus would be awesome for you, its right under your budget and supports SLI, 4 gb of ram at pc 3200, and dual core processors with socket 939, the perfect situation.
 
Why do you say that Asus's aren't that expensive?
The Deluxe version of the A8N is $164. You could get the DFI Lanparty UT for $132 or the SLI-DR for $169

r u tlaking about me, i didnt say they arent expensive, but they arent over priced either. and they are great boards, DFI sli is more expensive then asus's SLI motherboards, so why r u contradicting yourself?
 
I would go for one of the above suggested DFIs and perhaps an EPOX board would not be bad either. Have a look at Praetor's suggestions in the OC101. Although the motherboards listed are best for OC'ing, they do offer many useful tweaking options and will work great with the 7800GT.

how so?, isnt the ASUS board easily overclockable and they have realtively similar specs.
as a matter of fact, the premium has the exact same stats as a DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR Expert except for the LAN chipset which in both cases are gigabyte and that the DFI board costs 35 more dollars. im just curious as to why that DFI lineup is so much better than the ASUS lineup.

I would go with one of the newer Gigabyte boards - they are top of the line and there is excellent support on the website.

Hehe by the sheer fact that it overclocks better. If you want something concrete that you can munch on... "4.0 vDimm" should whet yer appitite
