The brand name has little impact on performance. Given one card there's almost always another similarly priced/speced card by the other brand. Someone might hold a slight edge at one price range, but then you move up or down and the other brand take the lead.

The main reason I picked Nvidia (again) is because I trust eVGA and I wanted a card with Physx capabilities. Aside from that, I really could care less. Like my processor, I'm more concerned with performance than brands.

You can't argue that ATI cards are the best value for the dollar.

I've always used nVidia cards, but the ATI lineup just has better
prices.

My next card(s) will be ATI, unless I decide to SLI my current rig.

I'd have to say i'd go with Ati for image quality and price, and go with nvidia for performace and folding... My old X1650 beat the crap out of my GF 6200 in image quality... mainly in games, but especially in CSS.

I don't think i'll get a new nvidia card. And that makes perfect sense seeing as my motherboard only supports SLI
