well i know its better but is the L3 cache and .4 speed bump worth $40 more for what ill be doing? Also do you think the 640 will be out dated soon, 1-2 years, with new games?

Your getting L3 cache, 400mhz and a unlocked multiplier. The longer you plan on keeping it, the better the processor you get, the better.

The L3 cache makes quite a large difference when gaming. Plus unlocked multi and higher stock clock....all good and easily worth $40.
