yes thats only pci, not express.

there are 3 choices on newegg.

FX5200 256mb with 250mhz core 332mhz ram interface 128bit
FX5500 128mb with 270mhz core 400mhz ram interface 128bit
FX5700le 128mb with 250mhz core 400mhz ram interface 64bit
all dx 9 and gl1.4 except fx5700 is gl1.5

this is for my mini-itx project if i do one for christmas.

Somebody?????

oh, i found another FX5500 the same as the one about with opengl1.5.
also the fx5700le is a smaller card so it is a good one for a mini-itx, but maybe preformance is worth it.

really?
the acitecture is that different that a 256mb FX5500 with 270 core and 400mhz ram
will lose to a 128mb fx5700 with half the vram and a slower core.
i'm not trying to say anybody is wrong, but that just seems a lil weird. i'll look up 3dmarks

we'll.. just take a look at a 6600gt 256Mb and a 6800GT 128Mb ;)
you'll c the same tere.. even better,. the 6800gt has about twice te performance as a 6600gt :) so, its definately possible

wow, after reading a review of the FX5700le agp review, i will get this one if it overclocks as well as the agp one.

mini-itx mobo's don't have agp slots.
and i think the FX5500 will beat the 5700LE

the 5700 LE has 82M transistors and 4 pixel pipelines. the 5500 has 45M transistors and 2 pixel pipelines. hardwarewise the 5700 kills the 5500. the small higher clock on the 5500 will not do much and their bandwidth on the memory are the same.

kind of like the x800 is clocked more than 100mhz higher than the 6800. but the extra 62M transistors makes the 6800 have a small edge on the x800.

5700 > 5700LE

the 6600gt also has half the transistors and half the pixel pipelines and the memory is half as fast. no wonder its half as good.

Yes, i found that.
and i also found that i can OC it to levels along the 400/500 range.
which will give me in the low-mid 2000 range in 3dmark03.

not quite as good as my laptop (i9300) but its going to be good for a mini-itx pc.
