You could have 12 TB of RAM in the lower spec'd rig and it would still not out perform a better CPU + a better GPU.
She was half right... I could play it on max and get 17 FPS, but that's hardly what I'd call playable.
But if a 9600GT can't play Crysis on max I doubt an 8800GTS would do much better.
Are you kidding me? The 8800 GTS is so much better than the 9600 GT
Really? I thought the 8800GT was better than the 8800GTS, and the 8800GT isn't THAT much better than the 9600GT. I mean, it's noticeably better, but I doubt you could max Crysis out on it with a 4400+.
How would a triple channel DDR3 MB run 1.2 GB of ram?

what the thread talking about is the G92 chip aka the 512mb 8800 GTS.
- 8800 GTS 512mb is faster than 8800 GT.
- 8800 GTS 512mb is alot faster than 9600 GT
- 8800 GT is faster than the old 8800 GTS which is the 320/640mb version
http://www.nvidia.com/page/geforce_8800.html can help with that crap(not with 9600)
