What is the best power supply with 500 watts?

i personally don't have it but it has great reviews also antec is probably the best IMO

Read PSU 101

In my opinion, Enermax and Antec makes great PSUs. I have a FMA 535W Enermax, dual 18A 12V (36 A 12V <- that's good!), great PSU, very stable power outage.

I have the antec smartpower 500watt with a 36amps on the two 12v rails, and i got it for only 50 bucks. It's a VERY nice psu with dual fan and all.

The Phantom 500W is designed to be an ultra-quiet PSU, and is one of the few units that does a reasonably good job of it (hence the high cost).

Why a 500W in particular?

Anyway, look at PSU101 and give us a budget. The NeoHE 500 is a great 500W PSU.
