Which Pre-built Comp?

The first one if anything, but why not just build it yourself?

If you built it yourself you would be able to do much better. ;)

The second one is better, but it's open box. If you don't care how things look, go with that. Otherwise, get the first one.

I would go with the second one also
those 9800 graphics are pretty darn sweet,
but why not just take all the parts on this system and build a betterone yourself?
you never know you could make one better for the same price

second one, definetly.

or:

i got these parts:

intel q6600. This is a quad core at 2.4GHz

Intel G45 Mobo

500gb HDD SATA II 7200rpm

Vista Home premium w/SP1 64 bit edition

SATA DVD burner

nice case

4gigs of ram

antec quattro 1000W

total:

910(about) after rebates

shipping included. this is a bit higher then yours, but also better.

EDIT: I found them, never ataully purchase em. Also, if you already have an os, know 100 dollars off the bil :D

@ Elimin8or that parts list has a 1kw psu which for a $900 build is unnecessary, and you didnt include a gpu of any kind. Also, if the op was willing to build im sure they would have stated it;)

You are right, I forgot to mention what GPU i had. I picked out the 9800GTX+. And the PSU, welll, again, an 850 would defintly suffice, so you can take 20 bucks off that build. possibly even a 750 would work. Thanks for pointig that out.

I can easily build a computer, I have built a couple in my time. I figured though since that was an open box I would save money on just getting it prebuilt. How much better is the intel quads then the AMD?

You would be better off building a computer with an intel quad.Whats your budget and i could put together a build for you.

You people put way to much into the power supplies... figure out amperage and wattage and then buy accordingly. people were telling my to get a 700w some tother brand for like $125, i got my psu for $50, and it's perfect.
a decent 600w could pull that rig off.
