Which PS3 to get?

I think I might bite the bullet and buy a PS3... Im usually a few generations behind in video game systems... I think I got a NES in 1994... and a super nes in like 1997. Everyone wanted to come to my house....

anyway, would I really benefit from a 250GB hard drive in the thing, how big are the save files and ps1 games to download, would the 120 fill up very quick?

thank for your help.

I have an 80 gig one, its great 15% filled with 50 songs and about 10 movies, if your a media junkie, go as big as possible, if not, then save some money and go with a smaller drive, the save files are small no bigger than 10mb i believe, dont quote me on that tho.

10MB a save? that sounds high... of course i dont know what im really talking about since i dont have a ps3.

anyway thank you for your suggestion, that sounds good... i am not a media junkie... i will probably throw some tunes on it but thats about it.

do you (or anyone) know how big a ps1 game download is? not that there is a plethora of ps1 games im dying to play.

o and since im on this subject... i notice my ps2 wont play ps1 games because i use a component cable hookup for my tv, does the ps3 have this same issue? ill be planning on using an hdmi cable

Unless you can get a hold of the older models that are backwards compatible (which go for about $800 on eBay last time I checked - they don't make them anymore), you'll have to get your PS1 and PS2 games from the PSN. Those, and a lot of the other downloadable games from the PSN average a couple hundred MB.
