Which Radeon HD7770 to get

Hello,

I am about to buy a Radeon HD7770 GPU

there are currently two options.

1) 1GB clocked at 5200MHz Memory and 1100MHz core (83.2GB throughput - whatever that means)
(I belive that is the black edition)

2) 2GB Clocked at 4600MHz Memory and 1120MHz core (73.6GB throughput - again whatever that means)

The second option is $25 more expensive which is not a problem I am only trying to figure out which card is more future proof and more powerful.

Please lets not throw any other graphics cards into this comparison mix, that will only confure ourselves. Thank you

Sorry but the 7770 is slower than the 6770 and the 6850 is a good bit stronger than it. The 1gb of ram is a draw back for 1080p, but the card will still do great, provided a good enough power supply, what is yours?

7770 is not slower than the 6770. It's only slightly faster, but not slower.

could'a sworn it was, but considering it is about even with the 6850 if not beating it, i'd grab the 2gb 7770 depending on the exact price.

I agree that the 6850 is faster, but you said the 7770 is slower than the 6770. Might've been a typo?

Sorry dont remember the brand and model but I got a 850W power supply. I used to run an ATI Radeon HD4870x2 before.

850W should be plenty right?

yes but a no name psu is a bad thing, but the 7770 uses so little power and all it should be fine with an 850w even if it's only a 500w or less

I believe the difference could be like $180 the 1GB GPU and about $210 the 2GB GPU (I have different currency).

Well at the moment I have an old screen with resolution of 1280x1024 therefore the 2GB probably wont be necessary and I dont really see myself playing on a higher than 1080p resolution in the following months / years.
