Which RAM is better quality?

What type of ram are you looking at as well as apllication? DDR, DDR2? The brand names there sound a little too generic or simply low end.

In other words you have an old system that runs PC133 memory? One page for Infineon memory can be seen at http://www.infineon.com/cgi-bin/ifx/portal/ep/channelView.do?channelId=-64297&channelPage=%2Fep%2Fchannel%2FproductOverview.jsp&pageTypeId=17099 That's a more familiar brand name.

Is this for a desktop or older model laptop? For notebook/laptop memory Synch is found at http://cybercypher.com/Buy_Computer/Computer-and-Laptop-Components/Memory-for-Laptops_8.shtml For a desktop you would have to search EBay for that brand.

If you are simply looking to replace PC133 memory you can look over some better more familiar brands seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2107967+1052407863&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=147

I've actually heard of Infineon, but it's not always the brand that you should look at. I've seen some rather crappy "top name" brands :P

Its for a desktop computer, and you see I basically don't know anything about RAM so I wanted to know your opinion which is better.

The Infinity is a known name where the other is an "unknown". I don't believe either one of those will really compete with the Kingston, Crucial, Viking, Mushkin, and other brands seen at the link provided earlier. If you have the option to go with a brand seen there at least you going with a brand familiar to most here. I would have to lean towards Infineon over Synch simply for the unfamiliarity with it.

I've never heard of SYNCH RAM. Infineon, however I have heard of. Just going by that, I would say Infineon is better.

The name Infineon sounds very familiar while SYNCH doesn't lead anywhere. The link there was one of several leading to some other IBM replacement memory rather then any actual brand name. But I think the main confusion here is from a misspelling of the "N-Synch" rather then Synch name as seen as one home site came up at http://www.n-synch.com/products.asp?qKey=Y02DUWTM6

Synch by itself wasn't a brand name. That was a misspelling of N-Synch that offers other products besides memory. It's an older brand name there obviously with PC100 seen as the primary memory being sold. Often the manufacturer's name is often different from the brand names seen at newegg and other places for the same memory.
