Which RAM should i choose?

The Corsair memory runs at 1.95v with a Cas 5 seen for those. The Crucial is 2.2v with a Cas 4 on them. Here I favor Corsair or Crucial over G.SKill while that memory sees a Cas 6 at 2-2.1v. I went with Kington Hyper X DDR2 800 memory with a Cas 4 running at 1.95v. I would give that the edge over the three sets seen at the links there.

You can see the 2gb kit of the Kingston memory at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134066

I would get the Crucial set, based on the fact that i've never had any problems with any stick of ram brought from them. Where as the first pair of, so called brilliant, Corsair sticks i get were bust.:(

Corsair is an excellent brand and beats GSKill. That set is simply seeing slower timings with a Cas 5 while the Crucial runs at 2.2v to get down to Cas 4? The Kingston Hyper X memory pointed out sees a Cas 4 at 1.95v. That tops all three of those sets there.

On the last build here I kept seeing memtest report all kinds of errors first on a matched pair of Corsair xms series DDR400 memory and then on the 2gb of Kingston Value Ram used to replace that. When this 939 build went together no errors could be seen on either set when tested. The main problem seen with good brands is often simply an incompatibilty with some makes and model boards.

Although i didn't quite understand much of anything that you said in your first post about the kingston RAM PC-Eye, due to me being a huge noob, but the reviews do look strong and it does look like it's some nice memory. So think i should go with the kingston? (I'm looking for the most solid ram i can get for around that price range :D ) On the reviews there though, people are saying they aren't DDR800, rather DDR667, is there any truth to that? Or is it just maybe a shipping mix up or something?

So it looks like from the choices that have been thrown around in this thread, i'll be picking from them.

So..

Crucial, G.Skill, Kingston, Or Corsair? I'm still lost, which would give me the best for my money?

G.skill one, corsair is nice too not sure about crucial since the last ones i got from them were CRAP technically would throw BSOD like a drunk person would puke after drinking 100 beers bottles

I don't know, but alot of the forum I visited said to avoid Corsair and get the G. SKill HZ instead

Probably the fact that it can overclock highly without a fuzz, and low timing, and also notes the 3x Winner Award.

anyway, the related forum -> http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview.aspx?FTVAR_FORUMVIEWTMP=Threaded&catid=83&threadid=2072627

Ohh that looks like some nice memory. Great reviews on it also.

The Kingston Hyper X memory is good for ocing. Just remember when you oc memory the timings will often be slowed down somewhat. I've never run Crucial or GSkill while Crucial has had a good name for gaming builds as well as Corsair for a long time. Fpr stock use the Kingston memory also seems compatible with more boards then the other brands it seems. OCZ is a top notch brand with some drawback at times with Asus model boards? Some complaints heard while others have seen great results.

Yes either will work. The 965P boards should be compatible with all DDR2 now (with the possible exception of the stuff that needs stupid amounts of voltage like DDR2-1066), they've been out long more than long enough.

That's what's called pushing hardwares for both DDR2 and now DDR3 240pin dimms simply seeing a faster memory speed for the same type of memory basically. The specifications for the board itself will show the memory standard like DDR2 800 or 1066 there. Going for a good brand after looking if faster timings will be a problem is a thought.

Some boards won't run memory seeing 4-4-4-12 leaving you with a Cas 5 to fill. Usually the manufacturer's product/specifications page will point at a link for a page showing brands of memory that is compatible from Corsair, A-Data, Kingston, etc. they recommend.
