I now have 4 GB of Corsair Value Select DDR2 667 (PC5300) RAM and want something better. I want to buy off newegg.com, but cant decide on what RAM to get. All I want is 4 GB. So:
Which Cas Latency is better, 5 or 6?
Which company has a good reputation?:
Kingston?
Crucial?
G.skill?
Mushkin?

And which timing is the best? 5-5-5-15 or 5-5-5-18?

well, generally the lower the CAS timings the better, so 5 would be better than 6, and i would go with mushkin, they are the best in my opinion.

what do you think about kingston? and would any one sedgiest a heat sink for my RAM? my laptop sometimes is on for 1-2 days.

5 is better than 6 and 555/15 is better than 555/18

Depends on how much money you want to spend? DDR2 800?
