Which Server?

Which server - to be a domain controller, file and print server for a small home network with 5 clients. I already own server 2000 Server and have CALs.

which one is a better deal? the Xeon one?

will the SATA RAID on both cause issues with win2k?

It sounds like with what you have planned you wouldn't be working either very hard. I personally prefer Xeons and the server does come with more memory and a larger hard drive.

You might buy them both and set one up as a MythBuntu media server.
 
If those are woodcrest xeons then get that one, it will flying dragon kick the opterons in the face so quick they will never see it coming.
 
I got B

Had a minor issue slipstreaming the RAID drivers into the win2k disk but it worked fine in the end.

Got it set up doing WINS, DHCP, DNS and Active Directory for my home lan.
Got dial-in working too so i can VPN in from university.
