Is that free cause i found on the internet and it wasn't. Plus it was like 6 CDs.
you need not to instill all of them,
just download disc 1 to disc 2 (I am not sure, you must see the manual)
other disc was collected some program which is no need to instill

1. You can get the DVD version
2. There is also a single CD mini version
3. You only need the first 2 CDs if i recall
4. Yes its free :)

I've read that Mandrake is the best Linux Package for new users but I think that SuSe Version is also a good version to consider. I bought Lisnux SuSe Pro (Version 9.1) :D
Although you should be able to download this package or a demo from the sight:

Well i searched and searched and i didnt find any site that has a free download, they all have like 2$ shipment or something,so can anyone tell me where can i dowload it.
thanks

oh, well now i see it, i didnt pay attention to the lower part so i thought it was just possible with high speed ftp download. thanks.

No offence but I think mandrake is for kids. Get SuSe its like a beefed up version of Mandrake. But its up to you in the end. :D

Stay away from Mandrake.
Get a Debian/Slackware based distro.
Or just download Fedora/Suse

Well i searched and couldnt find any Suse download site that has the CDs, they are all DVD, so i tried to download the DVD but i couldnt download it cause the dowload doesnt begin, so can anyone help.

Mandrake is very user-friendly and is good for a transition to Linux

Normally this is what I would have suggested but not today :).. I do agree though that if your a Linux newb then Mandrake is awesome for a newcomer but I do believe that Suse is that much better.

I've always used Mandrake but have not used Linux in a couple of years. A couple of months ago I decided to try it out again and installed the Latest version of Mandrake. Once up and running it where as simple as ever yet i had problems like connecting my digital camera (finepix S5100) which I simply gave up on! I used Mandrake for a couple of weeks then thought I'd try Suse as i where already getting bored LOL. Once on my system I noticed the difference immediately! My camera worked with no hassles! also installing windows based apps was that much easier as well!.

I recommend Suse first and Mandrake a very close second.

I'm honestly asking, not arguing :P. Last I read Debian/Slackware where for Linux Pros. Did I read wrong? or was it just old information? I read this about a year and a half ago. Has it become that friendly since?

Edit:

I would argue with you though about staying away from Mandrake LOL. I think it's a great distro for a newcomer.
