haha only 3 votes so far.. well, i personally like ME.. it seemed more stable when i was running it than it compared to xp
 
I voted XP, but how many different ways has this been asked in different polls I've seen what OS do you use, Favorite, now which is the best. :eek:

lol i have to say that i didn't have the same experience with ME. My ME crashed half the time when i opened it, about 70% of the time it crashed after opening a game and it was very defenceless against viruses even with like 4 anti virus programs. SO i upgraded it to XP:D
 
98se for me, unlike xp when a program freezes and you end it via ctrl+alt+delete it will actually close, unlike xp where you have to tell it a million times that you don;t care that you will lose any unfinished work, also in my experience 98se is far more reliable, and much quicker at starting up compared to xp, it is just a shame that newer software won;t work with it, otherwise i suppose i would have downgraded my pc from xp!

lol... ME... hahah that was a brilliant OS

1st: 98SE -most stable
2nd: XP -generic drivers are great! :)
3rd: NT -stable

I guess I sorta answered this question like what was the best for it's time, but anyway I have an old windows 98 computer and it runs really stable it has/had very few problems (I'm using xp now). But then again i didn't download a million files and malicious software to go with it...
 
Yea, I prefer XP also... but it depends on how you use it, and how cautious you are... I know people that would be better off using Windows 3.1, so they can't get into as much trouble!!! ;)
 
98se crashed every 30 minutes or so... Me Crashed every 10 minutes or so... XP crashes every few days or so. Hmmmm Windows XP Profesional for me :).

First off, ME needs to be just completely ERASED from all of history and time, this would be one exception to the no time travel idea that I have. XP is nice, but there's a reason why a lot, and I mean A LOT of companies still use 98 as their main OS for their networks and databases...
(XP for me... :))
