Which Video Card should I get

I would like an HDMI output with CrossfireX I just bought a new computer online without a video card and was wandering what I should get here are my specs hopefully $ 80-140 Ea

I was on a budget my parents bought me it I was supposed to use only $600

I'm using it on an HD tv so I need an HDMI port

Also when I'm installing windows 7 I just put the cd in right and it will boot from it or I press F(whatever it is) and click boot or is it more complicated.

and I'm asking this because when I look I don't know if I should get PCI-E or just PCI and I think it say my MOBO only has one PCI-E
 
Yeah gaming and I might want to use it to play bluray (Buy Bluray player later) movies so quality is important to me.
I want to play the new fallout FFXIV and mass effect 2 if that matters
anything around the $80-$110 range
 
ati's hd4830's and nvidia's 9800gt's still go for around $90~ and will still get the job done in gaming.
 
no sli and cf are two different things but do the same thing. but tbh i would spend a extra $50~ for a gpu and go for single gpu solution. dual gpu's do not always guarantee greater results and has many draw backs.

draws more energy therefor needs a higher quality psu
micro stutter
scaling problems
needs dual x16 for you to get full potential from the cards
more heat
not every game supports multiple gpu (example: steam games such as counter strike)

but to choose from that list, i'd personally take the 4850 for just raw power over dx11

but I looked at some images and Direct x 11 looks alot better

I will defiantly buy the 4850 (since it has HDMI and HDCP) if im low on money but just in case I want to see the different choices if I have extra will the above work

pci-e x16 2.1 works the same as 2.0, it just has a few extra certain useless features. 2.1 gpu's are compatible on on pcie x16 2.0 slots.

and for the gpu question, tbh i think nvidia has the crown on the $180-$200 mark with the GTX460.

when I bought my computer I wanted to save money so I clicked on the format only option I was wondering if it would be simple (like just cling boot from cd rom) or more complicated
 
if it's a fresh hard drive it will automatically read from your cd drive to detect a os dc

if it's been reformatted or something, then when during start up screen most mobo's have their "boot from" menu on the F12 button. press that and boot from cd drive, and everything after that is just following instructions that will be given to you by the cd.
