I have an intel mobo that only supports crossfire. Im building a new computer with this mobo and im putting a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 and 1 stick of 1gb of ram and 2 more 512 sticks. I want to play oblivion and cs source on this rig so the reaches of my video card are really critical.

what i was thinking was getting a card just like this but an ati version. or maybe ill get an invidia like this one and pay a little more and get a little more quality.

would it really be smarter to wait? (looking at his cons)

Pros: Well the great things about this card are obviously its specs. Handles any game on the current market without glitches, can be overclocked fairly well and it looks cool. The card does it's job well but there are some things that could have been better.

Cons: The price, the cooling. With the new 8xxx series of GPU's coming out soon I would just wait to get a better card for a better price. The 8600 and 8600gtx are expected to be priced at xxx$ and xxx$ respectively. XFX decided to put a MASSIVE (i'm not exaggerating) heatsink on this 7950GT card in order to keep your computer silent however this card idle's at around 60 degrees celcius. When playing GRAW the temp rose to 85 degrees celcius and that's not even at full load. You would definitely have to make sure you have a REALLY REALLY well-cooled case if you want to buy this card.
