how do you people encode with high quality?

i record it with fraps....

on vid #1 i convert it to xvid before uploading to youtube

on vid #2 i convert it using windows movie maker vista and convert it to HD windows media 1080p


but still none seems to satisfy me with quality..... anyone know any good method to get high quality?

The quality will always degrade once it is uploaded to a site like YouTube. If you want people to see it, just upload it to a filesharing server and allow them to download the movie file.

2 is sharper because its compacted. The first movie is in "wide screen" while the second had black bars on the side. Personally I like more pixels then sharpness, I voted 1 .
