What do you consider a "long while"? Because i'm sure you said the same thing about your 6800GS, but you only had it for a few months.

And are you sure that when DX10 comes out, and you see the new games for it, that you wont want a DX10 card instead?
 
I just made my mention on the ATI's merits because I thought I remembered seeing that you had to have your "eye candy" on the thread that asked whether you liked AA or not.

Anyways, You ought to just hold out and buy a DX10 card. Or buy a 7600GT today, or a 7900GS. eVGA has a 7600GT for 129.99 with a MIR of 20 dollars. 109 dollars for a 7600GT end result. THAT is good. Either way, I'm sure you'll want to have a DX10 card when they come out, save your money now. Honestly.
 
so i should sell my 6800 for $200 and buy a 7600GT for $100 and save the $100 for when a DX10 card comes out?
 
I guess you could do that, but who in their right mind would pay 200 for a 68GS? Or any 68 for that matter.
 
No matter how much i like Nvidia cards ( always had a nvidia) my vote goes to the x1900xt... its plain and simple better imo
 
Honesty, when you ask a question you have a basic idea or inkling of what you want to go with, you just need extra push or reassurance to go with your decision, ku-sama, what do u really wanna go with? Becuase tbh in my view you cant notice a huge difference, and your only gunna have the card for roughly a year...heres my view, sell ur gs for 200, get the 7600gt for 100, save that other 100 and other cash u can save for dx10 cards for when they come out, so you will prolly have the 7600gt for not even 6 months.

And on top of that, if you found ur 6800gs as acceptable, the 7600gt will blow your mind, it really is a screamer in terms of performance to price.
 
Dx10

I'm expecting DX10 cards before the new year or right after. I have an X1900XT 512 and I'm planning on upgrading myself. Also I got my card for $297 on newegg.com

if i can get a X1900XT 512 then ill probably get one, but all of the ones i found are like $300+ and im kinda in the $250 range
