Which way Up for Modem Router

A simple question, I have a new Netgear Modem/Router, In the package there was 2 plastic legs to attach, if I attach these, the Modem stands vetical which is better for cooling. All pictures of this unit are shown horizontal, it does get hot underneath standing on it's base, vertical it is difficult to arrange the antena's, which is correct?
 
which ever works is correct. mine same thing. i mounted upright and cools fine. i do not have an antenna though. makes no diff. up to save space only.
 
Standing up should cool better.
When laying horizontal there isn't any air moving over the bottom.

Though if there is no air moving anyways and the i/o vents are on the side then it shouldn't matter much.
