Why is it when I do a google search I'll click on a result (web page) to view it, after I read the page I hit the back button and the screen turns pure white...then I have to refresh the page to get the google results again? is it a task-manager adjustment problem?

mostly firefox

You can reset firefox to its factory settings by clicking the settings icon in the top right, the help icon (?), trouble shooting information, reset firefox. That usually solves common problems. It auto backs up your bookmarks but you may want to double back up important ones to be on the safe side.

Common bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=908446

To fix it

1. Go to FireFox's configuration editor by typing about:config where you'd type a URL address and press Enter.

2. Ignore the warning message, this is standard procedure.

3. Scroll down to Browser.sessionhistory.max total viewers.

It is probably set to -1.

Change it to 0 (not 1, not 2, but ZERO).

Problems solved!
