i remember really weird stuff started happening to my games when i would try to turn on AA when i had a low-end video card (not that your card is low end). Try playing a game on low settings and see if the problem still persists

also, when did this start happening, just randomly one day, or did you change something, like upgrading drivers for example.

It's Oblivion, and this is artifacting. It happens when the video card is overheating or being pushed too hard, which often results in overheating. OP can either clean off the video card's heatsink and fan, as well the case fans and CPU HS/f, or lower the setting off oblivion. Many times BOTH need to happen to get rid off this unsightly occurrence.

maybe just the driver works incorrectly but still check the temperature first before it burns down.

i'd like to say the snap is really like games centuries ago...

Yesh, but Oblivion NPC's always looked like poo. The environment is much purtier, case in point, here are two of my own screenshots, skewered down to 1024 x 768. :D

My Oblivion is heavily modded though, texture packs, foliage replacements, etc...

Jesus...unbelievable...you are not telling me it's from the very same game...
your screenshots look like pictures snapped from 3d marks.

look at those leaves near...we are gonna touch reality in the game tomorrow maybe.

It working good more than 8 hours so far. It too bad the graphic looks little poor than my last touble with white and red dots flicker. I had to change the video setting from quality to high performance.

It just 4 years old P4 3.4 478 pins motherboard and 6 months old nvidia Geforce 7950GT 8X APG video card. Few days newer power supply than video card.

It work great, and smoother, but little poor graphic. Thank. And i am jealous of your screenshot....:P
