Who does tv repair?

I have this tv that has audio but no picture. the picture will faintly appear when it first turns on but then goes away. after much research I've found that I have blown capacitors. This is a project that I could do myself but is proposed difficult and something I just don't want to do. Is there anywhere I can take/send it to get it fixed by a professional.

And before this is suggested, the manufacturer (polaroid) is of no help. Thanks!

Hardly anyone fixes TVs anymore. If you search eBay you might be able to find a replacement for whatever board has the blown caps which would be considerably easier (but more expensive) than replacing the caps themselves.

As for finding someone locally that would do it, I think your best bet is Craigslist.

I was curious also. I checked at Google that came up with house call and outside repair. I don't recall seeing one either at least not for 20 yrs. another idea might be call the manufacture and ask for support. They better know the answer. also maybe where ya bought it. they should know also. they used to be all over the place.
