Ok first of all my HP case sucks for its lack of design and crampt space. I want to know what case to get. Im looking for a black for silver case, with a cool window on the side. Of course ATX style with no power supply included.
Someone told me Foxconn was good but I dont know. Please tell me what are good and where I can find them. Thanks!!

My favoitre, and my current one is the Phantom case, it has a face on the front that the eyes are 4 sets of lights going around and they cycle, then its nose i guess is red lights and there is three white verticle lights going down under that. and the face opens up so you can get to the CD-rom and everything, front panel USb and audio too, and it does come with a clear side panel with a white led 80mm fan with a swirling fan grill.

It looks alot better in person, when the lights are on and everything, I'll try and get a picture of my own later. It was hilarous when I got it though, i seroisly thought ther were just NO cd-rom drive spots or anything, iwa s like What the hell! and i was soo pissed i bought itm then i relized after like a half an hour of moping around that it opens, I wondered why it look slike a handle thing LOL!

I like thermaltake cases because of the design and hard metal. Only part i dont like is that the LEDS dont seem to work.

Lian Lis are my favorite... I want to get a PC 7077 for my next rig. I just dont get how people can like a case with an alien on it...

i think any case is good as long as it has ample fans, the grills dont block airflow, and it looks nice! also, go with a front door on your case, definitely will be worth it to keep it a little quieter.

I agree, a lot of it is personal preference, but some things to look for are:

  • Adequate cooling - dust filters, cooling fans (number & size)
  • Toolless entry (if you're going to be opening up your case a lot)
  • Rounded edges (again, useful if you intend to open your case a lot)
  • Side Window (aesthetic consideration) & Side Fan (optional, depends on what other fans the case has)
  • Front USB, sound & Firewire (To me, front USB & Sound are very important features)

You'll notice that most mid-high end cases will have these features, so much of it is simply a matter of aesthetic preference. The feature that tends to vary most is cooling, i'd try to get something with dust filters and at least 2 fans (1 intake and 1 exhaust), with room to add more being great. Also, 120mm fans provide better cooling than 80mm.

Lian Li make some great cases, but are generally fairly expensive. I also quite like some of the Thermaltake cases, the Soprano being quite nice as a mid-range case.

Looks quite nice, but a full tower isn't for everyone! Personally, I just don't have the room to put one.

I kno! its soo weird, to me those things look ugly. like the nemisis, and the one xycron showed looks like cheap rip off of the punisher....

if i had the money id get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811119103
looks real nice and has a great coling system
but its a full tower:(

I have no clue if it is or not, but it looks awesome(when its atuly on and in person, again i'm getting pic's when my battery's charge lol)is nice durable metal, not sure exatle what its made out of but its durable, and the side panal is made of acrilic which even suprised me, I was expeting plastic, has a side fan back fan, 2 front usb portns and 2 front audio ports ;) and has lots of bays, I hate cases with 2-3 bays for a harddrive.(I like to keep a spae between eah one, you would be suprised how much this helps with cooling, and then I can also fit a HDD fan on it too)

I dont kow if its the "best" or not, since i havn;t tryed them all but i've owned several and thiss is the cheapest, and my favorite. I also like how it comes witrh tons of screwes and it came with extra lights inase the ones go out it comes with, although im not sure how i would replace them LOL! Prabally easier thenit look just to lazy to read the manaul when i dont need to.

have and like very much the Aspire X Navigator. It is true gaming casebut doesn't have the "face appearance" that some cases do. It is equaly appealing at home or in the office. Interchangeable front bezels can add to any room decor.
Has All the feature aboard for any application

GOD, I can't have that thing on my bedroom desk...
EDIT: I must admit though the fans are cool... http://www.nzxt.com/images/ProductImg/nemesis_Fan.jpg

I recently built a computer with an NZXT Nemisis Elite and loved the quality. The cosmetics might not be for everyone, but if all NZXT cases are built like that one, then I'm going NZXT next time I build... which should be pretty soon:D

This is one of my favorites... very classy, yet still has that gamer's touch:D

My friend has a nice foxconn case, but I dont know where to order them. Does anyone know a good foxconn website?
