Who makes some dual layer DVD-RW's that can be writen at high speed?

I am looking for some DOUBLE layer DVD+RW or DVD-RW discs that can be written at HIGH SPEED. I don’t care if they are single or double side.

there's 8x dvd+r dl's

but you have to have a compatable drive, and +r dual layer discs aren't very widely compatable with anything other than dvd-rom drives

i wouldn't use them for movies

I am using them to backup data when I reformat my drives. That is why I need DVD-RW's.

However that JVC 2X DVD is WAY TOO SLOW! That would take days to record 100 GB. worth of data.

If you have that much to back up, I would seriously think about buying an external HD. It would probably be cheaper in the long run compared to dual-layer erasable disks.

using dvd's to back up a HD sounds like a terrible idea.

rewriteable discs are overrated in general

i used to use cdrw's for a brief stint, and they were a nightmare
