who owns a Dell Inspiron 6000? need feedback

Hello
Am planning on purchasing a Dell Inspiron 6000. Does anyone have one and have you had any problems? Are you happy with it?

Just need for surfing internet, storing photos, and playing music and DVDs. Not for gaming.

I have that notebook and I am very pleased with it. You will want to step up to the 64 mb ATI card at least and drop your memory to 256, then buy two 512 chips off of Crucial.com

I have the normal screen (not the high res ones) and it works fine for web and e-mail. If you want to watch a lot of DVDs you may consider the next screen up (not the super high end one).

Just as a reference, with the 64mb ATI card and 1 gig of ram on the system you listed above, I can play far cry on low settings, so you're right it's not a gaming system but will handle everything up to that point really well.
