evening all, great forum btw!,

i recently had my netbook screen replaced,it is now due to be picked up from the shop, as im away i need a neighbour to pick it up and i told him it was fine if he wanted to use it.

my question is when he powers the netbook up what will he be able to see? the last window i opened? or just the browsing history?

dont know if this makes a difference but it hasnt been used in anout 3 months

thanks in advance for any replies

Do you only have one account on the netbook? What browser(s) do you use, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.?

It's really hard to tell as every browser has settings that can be changed to allow or disallow automatic recovery of pages that were last open, see history, have web addresses autocomplete, form fill, etc.

I'd say it's safe to say that he will be able to see any website you visited fairly recently, and things that you have searched for. Typically if you start to type in the address bar or on a search engine, it stores previous searches and addresses so it will autocomplete the address. Say for instance you went to freeporn.com (just an example). If your neighbor starts typing in www.fre (for something like freedom.com), it will autocomplete with freeporn.com as you have been there before.

when you say fairly recently if the computer hasnt been used in a couple of months will that make a difference?
