its probably running faster becuase it has more space to work with i'm guessing... and wats the problem? its running faster..isnt that a good thing?

I concur. Three threads is a bit much, and why bother asking, It's a good thing that it's faster. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

baroque? how did this get on to architecture?

anyway, multiple threads are pointless and will only cause problems for admin and moderators which will eventually lead to problems for you.

i expect the speed increase is because windows is putting some swapfile onto it to speed things up a bit.

Congrats on becoming a Moderater... Oh wait your not!! Tone it down a bit. You can advise the guy that it is wrong but your not the boss here so don't act it!

As for his question... It's a fair one, he is curious. I don't however know why your computer would run faster by simply plugging in a slave drive as it should not.
