WIndows 10 Why are my bootable USB drives not bootable?

(SOLVED - mods can delete

The issue was I had to switch the file system to NTSF and set it to make a BIOS compatible drive.)

I'm using Rufus to make bootable win 10 USB drives, but whichever computer I plug them into, after the initial splash screen when the computer starts up, I just get a blank screen with the little _ blinking. Any idea on what the issue might be?

Do not use rufus. Download Hirens Boot Cd. https://www.hirensbootcd.org It is the absolute best tool for any computer tech to have in their arsenal. Also while it may be a PREINSTALL ENVIRONMENT, you do not have to boot from it. When on a windows device, just open the iso and search for RMPREPUSB. Or you can download RMPREPUSB from here https://www.rmprepusb.com/documents/rmprepusb-beta-versions

I have had way more success with RMPREPUSB than with rufus.
