european version would be quite nice, at the moment us in the UK are limited to ebuyer.co.uk, dabs and aria (which is crap), aswell as overclockers.co.uk and those ones etc... but they arent really very competitive with prices. I have to say if newegg sold their items at their UK equivalent US prices, they will be onto a winner, in direct translation newegg is always cheper than other places, unfortunately they dont ship to the UK...
Yes, but for them to do that, they would have to purchase the items from the USA, and bring them into the UK. This would mean they'd have to pay duties on the goods, which'll bring the price up. But it would be amazing if they could offer their products at the same prices.
They do it all the time, I don't how this seems funny to you.Now why the hell would they do that? Does that make ANY sense to you WHATSOEVER, because it sure doesn't make sense to anyone else, especially not me considering I'm in retail. Did you think that one through before you posted it?
You don't raise prices to be "fair" to a foreign market. You drop prices to be competitive in your market. By your suggestion, they screw their entire US market and lose marketshare to their competition because they don't want a fledgling market in another part of the world, with different economic conditions, to feel "ripped".
lol.Funniest thing I've read all day. All they have to do is make sure their pricing is competitive with the market they are entering.
Too funny.
Sorry, I did not join this forum to proof myself and waist my time by researching something for no point. It's a common practice, and happens a lot. It would be doubtfull it would happen in Canada with newegg though.Hmm. So you have no examples. Nothing. You couldn't even use Google. Why am I not surprised.
If you're going to make an argument, especially one as preposterous as that, you should be prepared to back it up with facts. Just a little tip for the future.
Anyways, it doesn't matter. When Newegg opens in Canada we all know that they won't be raising prices in the US (well, anybody who knows how retail works knows this). They will be adjusting Canadian prices according to market conditions.![]()
I have no "strategy" because I am in no "fight" I was simpltly stating something. You should really try reading all of every post. That's completely different... We are talking on a nation to nation scale, so Walmart is not an effective example.
I don't really care what you came here to do. You questioned my integrity, you fell flat on your face when I called you on it. All I'm suggesting is that you rethink your strategy for next time.![]()
