Why can't I ping my own Windows Server ?

I recently set up my own Windows 2012 R2 server on Virtual Box and I made sure to make it has a bridged adapter. Could it be b/c my router is being dumb since its a combo router modem. When ever I try to ping 0 packets are transferred. i see everything is connected to the web, both the Box and my desktop.

Whats going on ?

Btw I can ping out to other websites and ip addresses. Just internally I cant ping.

I tried again right now. I cannot ping from R2 server to host desktop, and I cant ping from Host Desktop to R2 Server

I'd see what zone you have it on for Windows Firewall, if it's set to Public Network then it won't respond to any new inbound connections or ICMP, even from your local subnet.
