Why can't I select multiple files in Vista?

This is really weird, theres certain folders that I can't select more than 1 file in. I have a few TV shows (the entire series) and I can multi-select their folders but once I get into those folders I cant select more than 1 episode at a time. I can't click and drag, can't use select, can't use control. Nothing works :( So I assume it's some sort of option somewhere?
 
you mean you tried clicking and dragging the mouse over the files and it didnt work? How about holding down ctrl while you click the files? Vista uses a lighter color for selected files so maybe its selected but too light to notice?
 
no, I don't mean to sound rude but I'm not an idiot, I know what I'm doing.

I actually was searching around for an answer and found out it's a Vista bug. There's a fix for it, it involved going into the registry and deleting the "bag" directory that contained some kind of info for my folders. Tried it and it worked.
