Why Do Most People Preffer Intel Over AMD

There was a really small period of time during which AMD did switch some sockets,quickly.

I did not follow computers alot at that time,but ever since I got really interested since then I have seen AMD being more socket stable compared to intel. :D
 
Thx for the response I'm still going with the Phenom ii 965 BE though because it fits my budget :) but thx for all the response
