Why do they create a uninstall option when it doesnt uninstall everything

Can i ask why they even have an uninstall option when so many programs dont completely uninstall when you use them. Has anyone ever used the norton removal tool or the AVG removal tool to completely uninstall everything that they put on your system?

Yes, and they are recommended to use the removal utilities, same way with Mcafee.

now did you use the removal tools that are directly on there websites? im just making sure because i read some other stuff that said after that to go into the registry and what not. so i just wanted to make sure.

Do not go into the registry in fear of deleting something you shouldn't. Just use the removal tool.

how come even after i run both norton and avg removal tools i still find folders for symantec and avg on my computer?

Maybe the removal tools didn't complete all the way???

well it said they completed all the way, like at the end it said finished, so i thought it was kinda wierd
