Why does my printer not print?

I have an HP Envy 5530 that is fully installed. I can look at it under Control Panel and it shows up.

I click "print" on Microsoft Word and it does not print.

What can I do to troubleshoot this?

Hover over the printer icon in printers and see if it says ready or offline. Also, it won't print if you have print jobs that haven't printed yet. You will need to clear out the printer que and start over. Download and run this batch file on this page and it will clear the print que.

It says zero documents in queue.

Also, I tried putting the Word Document on an SD card and plugging that into the printer, but it's not working. I think it might only allow you to print photos that way.

And now it works.

These things just have a mind of their own sometimes....
