Why does the XFX8800GTX cost twice in China than in the U.S.?

Im not complaining bu just wondering .

Converted the prices in China into U.S. dollars at exchange rates.

It cost twice.

The tariffs wouldn't cost so much ,I think.

There are lots of non-Americans in the forum.

All I wanna know is that is the price in your Country a huge different compared with American?

just give it a bit of time, itll get cheaper pretty fast i think

It has to do with the cost of importing (not just tarrifs) it as well. PC parts are more expensive across the pond in general when compared to the US. The price is is similar to the american price but I think it's still a little more expensive.
