why is McAfee bad?

i dont understand? i mean its all ive used ever since i got my first computer and it works fine, it has a nice easy user interface and ive never gotten a virus or any other problems? Is it because of the price its $40, please shed some light on this topic, thanks
 
AVG Free edition detects better than it, there was a writeup in i believe cpu magazine a few months back, between a bunch of different antiviruses mcafee did the worst. Its a resource hog also.
 
Yeah there's a lot of free better anti virus software out there. Have you ever used your computer while Mcafee was updating itself? Goodness. You'd think you have a 300MHz processor with a megabyte of RAM.. lol

yes i have it was a little laggy but not that much, and the updates are pretty fast on my computer maybe cause my internet
