Why is my computer so slow?

Hey everyone,
So I've just put together my first build and everything seems to working out just fine. I've installed the os and whatnot but my computer is damn slow at running games.

Could anyone tell me why it's so slow, and also what my pc is capable of handling if it's set up correctly. Im really scared that i just wasted 1200 dollars.

Games will always take a little while to load.

Did you install the latest graphics driver? What games are you trying to play?
 
My guess would be something along the lines of not having the proper drivers, or the video card not getting enough power.
Go to the motherboard manufacturer website as well as Nvidia.com and download all the appropriate drivers for your motherboard and for the GPU.

If things still aren't cruising along, try reinstalling windows. Don't get discouraged. Sometimes your first build doesn't go well. BTW that SSD is dog poo quality. Don't buy an SSDNOW next time they are bottom of the pile.
 
Hey everyone, thanks for the replies. Turns out I just didn't have the proper drivers installed now it runs
super smooth all ultra settings on most games.
